If you're tired of the same bland bedroom activities and would like to add some spice, there are numerous Black-owned sex toy shops to support.

Exactly how much spice depends on your comfort level and your imagination. Some like to use appendages in role-play, while others like drizzling hot wax onto their partner's skin. The sky is the limit, and these Black-owned businesses share one common goal: to encourage a healthy, balanced view of sexuality, all in the name of The Culture.

Here are some black-owned sex toy shops with everything you need to stoke the flames and keep them ablaze!

1) Lumberjill

Richard "Dick" Carver is a sex toy maker whose medium of choice is wood. These body-safe toys are pleasurable and striking enough to be displayed! He handcrafts implements of an adult nature because it's fun, and he wants to make the personal massager personal again. He's changing how people view sex toys, one handmade wooden sculpture at a time! His Etsy shop has a selection of pre-made toys and a section to request custom orders if a specific type of toy or wood calls your name.

2) enby.

Enby is a Black/Trans-owned company run by three enbys who believe all bodies deserve affirmation and pleasure. They strive to create a safer and more comfortable sex-toy shopping experience for the Queer community, specifically gender non-conforming, trans and non-binary people.

Even better, 2% of their proceeds are donated to a rotating list of small, underfunded organizations focused on improving the lives of Queer/Trans People of Color.

3) Bedroom Kandi

Bedroom Kandi was founded in 2011 by award-winning singer/songwriter, Real Housewife, and entrepreneur Kandi Burruss in conjunction with intimate toy developers Brian and Suki Dunham. At the time, the line launched with only five products; now, it features hundreds, from personal toys, to bath & body, to cosmetics, with something for everyone!

An entrepreneur, Kandi wanted to provide an opportunity for others to find pleasure and self-love with Bedroom Kandi products and enrich their lives with their own business through Bedroom Kandi's Boutique Consultant program.

4) Ardently

Ardentley is the first sexual wellness company to provide a digestible approach to expanding and informing the discovery within identity, health, consent, and sexuality. Ardentley also focuses on distributing Body-Safe Toys (non-porous or harmful materials that carry toxins). Tatiyanna, Ardently's founder, is ardent about making people feel ardent with everything they do. To be Ardent is to be passionate!

This word creates confidence, and everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their skin while feeling safe in the explorative process of their sexual enlightenment. Tapping into sexual topics will allow for a safer, more pleasurable, and better-informed society. Ardentley is about having passion in discovering one's pleasure, and we look forward to the topics and toys we can all dive into.

5) New York Toy Collective

Founded in 2012, New York Toy Collective creates high-quality intimacy toys and products for all forms of gender affirmation, including packers, STP products, binders, accessories, and more.

NYTC Co-Founders Chelsea and Parker have always been technology-forward, consistently embracing new ideas to enhance consumers' personal lives in an affordable, body-safe, and durable way, with functionality that allows for a continued physical and emotional connection for the end user.

6) Sex On The Table

SOTT is a black-owned, multifaceted company aiming to provide the millennial generation with a healthy blueprint for sex, love, and relationships through advocacy and education. They aim to have an inclusionary environment where everyone's voices are heard on issues that are important to them.

They also offer a range of educational seminars and events, providing opportunities for individuals to learn, grow, and engage with others on important issues related to sexuality, intimacy, and relationships. Their bi-weekly podcast, "Sex on the Table," is available on seven major streaming platforms, including Apple Podcasts and Spotify. It's a platform for frank, honest conversations about sex and relationships!

7) Kinky Choices

Kinky Choices was founded in 2014 by Gushy Goddess and Poppa Sweet Cheeks. They realized a lack of diversity in the Kink scene and little representation of people of color. Their mission is to nurture an experience that encourages communication and allows customers to explore and indulge in their most intimate fantasies. They encourage sexual liberation while exploring sexuality and enjoying sexual fulfillment.

Kinky Choices offers a curated gift selection service for that special someone, bundle deals during holidays, and traveling in-home party services in the Philadelphia region for the perfect girls' night in!

8) Kolby Brianne

Kolby hand-makes leather pieces such as collars and harnesses in Connecticut. She is a Black lesbian with her feet in New England and roots in the South! She loves the process of creating custom-sized pieces for your life, whether it's work or play.

Love showing your kinky side but don't want to wear gear in public? Kolby makes accessories, too, such as keychains, armbands, and even a leather coin to keep in your pocket when you can't make a choice.

9) Ruby Love

Founded by Crystal Etienne in 2015 and formerly known as PantyProp, Ruby Love is an apparel company rooted in the belief that periods should never stop us from doing, being, and going. She developed an innovative, intuitive, patent-pending technology that offers maximum absorption, protection against leaks and stains, peace of mind, and complete discretion so that period days can be like every other day.

Ruby Love offers period-proof swimwear, underwear packs, and even a "first period" gift box for whoever may need it as a gift to make their first period just a bit easier!

10) Organic Loven

Started by Taylor Sparks, a passionate erotic educator and certified in both holistic aromatherapy and human behavior, Organic Loven specializes in improving adults' sexual health/wellness and enhancing their sex lives via their organic intimate body products, body-safe sex toy materials, sex-positive books, erotic educational seminars and adults only luxury vacations.
